Berry Rooibos Smoothie Bowl
BERRY ROOIBOS SMOOTHIE BOWL
FOOD AS MEDICINE
Rooibos tea is a naturally sweet tasting herbal tea that is grown in the mountains of South Africa. It is naturally caffeine free and its sweet taste can help to curb post-dinner sugar cravings or for a smoothie base. Rooibos tea is a rich source of polyphenols and may contain up to 50% more antioxidants than green tea! It is also a good source of trace minerals and also contains Quercetin, a compound that is anti-inflammatory and is potentially helpful in treating allergies. Rooibos can also promote relaxation and aid in depth of sleep. Brew Rooibos for at least 5 minutes, up to 15 minutes.
