Probiotics
Ali always says “A cup of probiotics a day keeps the illness away!” To help support your immune system, keep your gut microbes in check! Greek yogurt and kefir are great, but avoid dairy when dealing when excess mucus and choose sauerkraut, kimchi, or kombucha as a daily living source or a potent probiotic supplement.
A good multivitamin
A sound multivitamin is a good insurance policy! We look for b vitamins that are in the “methyl” form with a blend of plant-based antioxidants. Get your sleep
Sleep is very important to keep your HPA Axis Regulated. If you have a hard time sleeping, try some nervine herbal infused teas at night. Place 2-4 heaping tablespoons of the selected herb into a 16 ounce mason jar, pour two cups of hot water over the herb, and then cover the vessel.ᅠAllow the tea to steep for a minimum of 30 minutes (longer is fine too), then strain and drink.ᅠ
Cold and Flu Remedies:
For a cough:
Raw unfiltered water with lemon, ginger, coconut oil, and hot water (optional: a shot of bourbon). This “Zippy Toddy” acts as an expectorant by thinning mucus and aids in nausea, helps improve sleep, and boosts immune function with Vitamin C!
Ginger-Tussin Cough Syrup
All Via Chest Rub with Neem, Eucalyptus + Tea Tree
Gargle salt water or apple cider vinegar
Essential oils in a diffuser: lavender, eucalyptus, thyme
For a stuffy nose:
Use a Neti Pot with sea salt
Sea salt nasal spray
