Keto Lavender Hot Cocoa
KETO LAVENDER HOT COCOA

Lavender is commonly used in essential oil diffusers or for topical application to reduce stress and aid in restful sleep, but it can also be ingested if in a quality form like a food grade essential oil or tea. The raw cacao used in this beverage provides magnesium to aid in relaxation as well as a potent source of antioxidants. The fat from the coconut milk is tonifying to the brain, making this an indulgent and therapeutic beverage for winding down in the evening.
INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup full fat coconut milk
2 cups filtered water
2 Tbsp raw cacao powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp cacao butter or coconut oil
2 scoops Vital Proteins Gelatin
4 drops food grade lavender essential oil or 1/2 tsp dried culinary lavender
DIRECTIONS
Heat the coconut milk and water over medium heat until simmering. Transfer to a blender and blend in cacao powder, vanilla extract, cacao butter or coconut oil, lavender and gelatin. Blend until fully combined, transfer to two mugs.
Note: If allowed to cool the gelatin will start to thicken, this beverage is meant to be consumed hot! You may also use collagen protein if preferred!
