Matcha Chia Parfait Recipe
MATCHA CHIA PARFAIT RECIPE
FOOD AS MEDICINE:
This parfait is a great breakfast that can lower cholesterol and promote heart health with anthocyanins in the blueberries and other compounds to support healthy blood vessel function. The fiber, fat and protein aid to and promote stabilized blood sugar levels while the balance of natural sweet from the fruit can curb sugar cravings.
INGREDIENTS:
2 tsp matcha
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cardamom
6 oz greek yogurt, full fat organic
2 Tbsp chia seeds
1 Tbsp honey
1/2 cup blueberries
1/4 cup mango slices
DIRECTIONS:
Whisk Matcha into greek yogurt along with cinnamon and cardamom. Once well combined, stir in chia seeds and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Once set and thickened by chia seeds, top with berries, mango, and honey if desired.
