INGREDIENTS
2 lbs grassfed ground beef
Sea salt + black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2 medium sweet potatoes, sliced into 1/2 inch rounds (skip this if keto and double the lettuce)
Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Spray
2 heads butter lettuce, leaves separated
For the topping variations:
Caramelized Onion, Goat Cheese & Mushroom:
1 cup caramelized onions
4 oz goat cheese
1 cup mushrooms, cooked down in ghee
Spicy Southwest:
4 oz pepperjack cheese
1 avocado
1/4 cup pickled jalapenos
2 Tbsp Primal Kitchen Chipotle Mayo
Classic Bacon Cheeseburger:
1/2 red onion, sliced thinly
1-2 tomatoes, sliced
4 oz cheddar cheese
4 slices cooked bacon, cut in half
1-2 Bubbies Fermented Pickles, sliced
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400F. Spray the sweet potato rounds on both sides and place on a baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes, flip, then continue to make another 15-20 minutes until soft and beginning to brown.
In the meantime, combine the ground beef, sea salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly, then form into 16 2-oz patties. Grill 2-3 minutes per side until cooked to desired doneness.
Serve on top of sweet potato rounds or butter lettuce cups with desired toppings!
